Raise your hand if you rocked those feathered bangs in the 90’s? You know the ones where the top, back layer of the bangs are teased and curled a mile high and the bottom is curled in giving your face a 1:1 ratio of hair to face. It was the way to do your hair and all the cool girls did it.
The biggest contributing factor of whether your feathered bangs would turn out great was inevitably the hairspray. The toxic, alcohol-based kind that would cause temporary suffocation and a host of other problems.
Thankfully, when we know better we do better and so we toss those harmful aerosol cans to the wayside and make our own. That’s right, turns out, making hairspray is as easy as making a sweetened cup of tea.

The recipe looks like something I would really like. Gotta try it out!
I’m a newbie to the essential oils group…still dabbling in some for my joints/muscle issues, as well as my severe migraines…raynauds syndrome and other medical issues, that aren’t being resolved w any medicinal ways. During Oct of last yr, my hair started to fall out, and it freaked me out, a lot! The hair is slowly growing back w the special shampoos and conditioners that I had purchased…but it feels course and dry, and very knotty. I would love for you to share some of your recipes w me, in the essential oils line. I like the idea of all natural, vs the poisons that my doctors try on me.
Thank you.
Hi Krista, Lavender essential oil is a great product for thinning hair as is rosemary, cedarwood and thyme. You can check out this Pinterest (https://www.pinterest.com/nourishingjoy/diy-natural-beauty/) board for more natural hair and beauty remedies. Hope that helps. Thanks for the comment. 🙂
