butternut squash unsalted butter yellow onion fresh garlic fresh thyme arrowroot flour (or AP flour) half and half salt and pepper
Ingredients
Caramelize onions and season with thyme and garlic.
Thicken with the arrowroot flour (for gluten free) and add cream.
Peel and slice butternut squash into thin half moons.
Arrange butternut squash slices over 1/3 of creamy sauce.
Spoon remaining creamy onion mixture and bake.
Bake butternut squash gratin until golden brown.
